Frame-favorite husband and wife chef team Gabriel and Gabriela Botezan (both formerly of Luciano Del Signore’s famed Bacco Ristorante) are back to take you on a wild culinary ride through Italy’s most revered regions.

Welcome to bar ITALIA at FRAMEbar, where the essence of la dolce vita comes to life in a delightful blend of classic and new Italian-inspired wine and cocktails, tantalizing small plates and pastas, and spirited conversation in a stylish setting where you can strut your most practiced sprezzatura.

Kick things off with perfect antipasti like Chef Gabby’s fluffy rosemary focaccia, tangy eggplant caponata, or a zesty insalata di mare packed with octopus, shrimp, and scallops. Warm up with a hearty bowl of pasta e fagioli, or get your grill on with melanzane Abruzzese, a smoky eggplant delight.

Pasta lovers will swoon for Chef Gabe’s region-spanning creations like bucatini alla amatriciana from Lazio, trofie con coniglio from Liguria, and Piedmontese agnolotti, stuffed here with succulent braised short rib.

For the main event, tuck into a juicy New York strip steak done Sicilian-style, crusted in breadcrumbs and served with tangy ammoglio sauce, or the tantalizing chicken saltimbocca. Seafood fans can dive into a spicy pan-seared salmon in saffron broth, while herbivores will savor the scrumptious farrotto, bursting with roasted veggies and aromatic basil.

Save room for dessert because Chef Gabby’s legendary tiramisu is a must-try! If you need a perk up, opt for an affogato al caffè, or get ready for that post-pasta nap with a heavenly slice of torta della nonna.

Of course there will be plenty of Italian and reserve wines by the glass and bottle, curated by Frame Sommelier Sean Crenny, as well as Italian-inspired cocktails and a flight of house-made “cellos” (limoncello, etc.). Plus, non-alcoholic beer, cocktails, and tonics available for our non-imbibing friends.

As they say in Italy: “A tavola non si invecchia” — At the table, you don’t age.
