Whether new to sake or a rice wine expert, our frame artisans have curated a truly next-level sake box. Tag a local ceramicist and frame’s sommelier to combine their deep passions. And wow, look what we have. By day, local ceramicist Max Sobel is an engineer; an art form in its own right. Max utilizes this extensive working knowledge to elevate his ceramic practice onto an entirely new level. While he may consider himself to merely moonlight as an artist, after seeing Max’s beautiful practice and workflow, we’d have to disagree. Max’s sake cup designs are indeed one of a kind. Aside from the wildly intricate, delicate work required to craft the clay, Max employs distinct glazing and soda firing practices to make his work stand out from the rest. And to pair: hand selected by our in-house sommelier, ‘Ama No To’ Tokubetsu Junmai Sake, hailing from the northernmost tip of Japan in Akita. Brewed in a farm to glass production wherein all the sake makers are also rice growers ~ you’re sure to be sipping pure and clean this season. Call us crazy.
