HI-FI. LO-FI. Turn Tables. Vinyl…The Mix Tape
Come May, we’re dialing into the creative interplay where food, music and experience overlap in our one-of-its kind collaboration. Meet: mix.tapeBAR at FRAMEBAR. The brainchild compilation of Chefs and Music, curated by musical genius Ryan Patrick Hooper (host of WDET’s In The Groove, award winning journalist, culture writer for New York Times, Hour Detroit, SPIN magazine). A bit like a good DJ set evolving in curation, our idea started as out of a desire to explore personal chef stories and their ultimate music playlists.

But when Ryan’s idea was run by his tight-knit group of favorite pop-ups, mix.tapeBAR quickly became the king of collaboration, creating a concept oozing with style and substance. The result: A monthlong pop up of like-minded people who have really great ‘ taste’ in music. Each week a meticulously curated new playlist by Ryan Patrick based on a paired week-long shared plates FRAMEbar menu. Completely unique to the musical tastes of the chef in residence. Each week with its own distinct personality. Hand picked for you, the audience who’s there to experience it.

Explore the relationship between food and music in our an audio-centric ambient den meant for drinking, eating and listening. May is all about celebrating food and music in its purest form, with of course, a new radio-charged bar takeover to match each week by Adam Accivatti and Diego Aliste.
