Old School Pie Workshop by Chef Rebecca LaMalfa
From old school chocolate cream to savory sweet potato butterscotch, we’re pretty huge fans of spherical, classic diner style pies at frame. For us, few other treats, satiate our fall cravings. Join us for two rounds of old school pie workshops held by Chef Rebecca LaMalfa, hostess with the mostest, as she teaches us to create classic fall sweet and savory pies, just in time to wow the crowd at your Thanksgiving festivities. This class is a 2 part series. Enroll in one or both: The Wednesday, October 3rd workshop will focus on two pies: Chocolate Cream and Savory Tomato Basil. The Wednesday, November 6th workshop will have a more holiday focus with two different pies: Sweet Potato Butterscotch with Smokey Marshmallow Meringue and Turkey Florentine Phyllo Pie (teaching us exactly what to do with our turkey left overs!). Putting everything you’ve learned into practice, you’ll take home your handiwork, the tricks, tips, recipes from the workshops and enjoy the fruits of your labor by snacking on sweet and savory bites during class. Anyway you slice it….these workshops will be filled with butter and sugar and we’re ok with that.
Thursday, October 3rd and Wednesday. November 6th. 6:30pm $65 per person + tax and service fee Each workshop is limited to 20 guests and includes all materials. Included: A two-hour pie workshop held by Chef Rebecca LaMalfa where you’ll be focused on all things pie. Including eating pie during class and taking pie home. Additional: ++ a-la carte beer, wine and frame cocktails
