Fat Tuesday Paczki Workshop
with
Chef Rebecca LaMalfa

Even though there is no shortage of gourmet Paczki (filled Polish doughnuts) in our town thanks to our grand Polish community, we can’t stop thinking about how fun it will be to learn to make the traditional deep-fried dough with fillings, made at this time of the year to use up foods forbidden from being eaten during Lent … lard, sugar, eggs, and fruit.

In Poland, they are often eaten on Fat Thursday, the last Thursday before Ash Wednesday. This year for us, Fat Tuesday falls on February 25th. Regardless of the reason, let’s master the craft of Pączki in frame’s open kitchen with Chef Rebecca LaMalfa taking the mystery out of how to host the perfect Pączki party at home.

Wednesday, February 19th.
6:30pm

$65 per person + tax and service fee
Each workshop is limited to 20 guests

Included:
A 2-hour Paczki workshop where you’ll learn Chef Rebecca LaMalfa’s tips and tricks to formatting the traditional deep-fried dough for your Fat Tuesday.

++ a-la-carte wine and frame cocktails.

Megan

“Tried out frame as part of the ‘grandma’s basement series’ with Chef James (Mabel Gray) and Chef John (Grey Ghost). Our Italian Family Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed every course (which kept coming). Best meatballs I’ve ever had!! Love the idea of home Cookin with a little flare, shared Family style with strangers. A wonderful evening!”

Mark Kurlyandchik, Detroit Free Press

“The vibe at the Frame dinners also reflected the personalities of the chefs, who were able to interact with guests and offer stories about their food memories while cooking rustic dishes without the same expectations that come with their respective restaurants. The food was predictably great and unpretentious, but the series also highlighted the growing importance of personality and storytelling to the modern dining experience.”
