Fat Tuesday Paczki Workshop with Chef Rebecca LaMalfa
Even though there is no shortage of gourmet Paczki (filled Polish doughnuts) in our town thanks to our grand Polish community, we can’t stop thinking about how fun it will be to learn to make the traditional deep-fried dough with fillings, made at this time of the year to use up foods forbidden from being eaten during Lent … lard, sugar, eggs, and fruit. In Poland, they are often eaten on Fat Thursday, the last Thursday before Ash Wednesday. This year for us, Fat Tuesday falls on February 25th. Regardless of the reason, let’s master the craft of Pączki in frame’s open kitchen with Chef Rebecca LaMalfa taking the mystery out of how to host the perfect Pączki party at home.
