The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. Frame’s mission is to create extraordinary food, wine + cocktail experiences and play host to a line-up of experts in their field who share in our philosophy on what eating out should be. amazing cooking, friendly service, a relaxed environment and a shared experience from one table to the next.  Marry these two mission statements along with last week’s announcements of the 2019 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards semifinalists of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio and we’ve designed The Great Lakes Eat + Drink Week benefitting the James Beard Foundation.  For three-consecutive nights, frame will be hosting three benefits for The James Beard Foundation with food prepared by 2019 semifinalists for best chefs: Great Lakes. 2019 Semifinalists : Great Lakes Jose Salazar of Mita’s, Cincinnati Jill Vedaa of Salt, Cleveland Brian Jupiter of Frontier, Chicago Abbi Merriss of Bluebeard, Indianapolis Anthony Lombardo of SheWolf, Detroit James Rigato of Mabel Gray, Hazel Park Kate Williams, Lady of the House, Detroit Norberto Garita of El Barzon, Detroit Genevieve Vang of Bangkok 96, Detroit 2019 Semifinalist : Rising Star Chef of The Year Lena Sareini of Selden Standard, Detroit 2019 Semifinalist : Outstanding Baker Greg Wade of Publican Bread, Chicago Courses by 2019 Semifinalists : Best New Restaurants Marrow, Detroit Larder Delicatessen and Bakery, Cleveland Drinks by 2019 Semifinalists : Outstanding Bar Program Lost Lake, Chicago Playlists by Third Man Records, Detroit Seafood by Motor City Seafood, Detroit Micros by Chef’s Garden, Ohio Accomodations by Aloft, Detroit Food Donations by Schoolcraft College Want to know what’s on the future of these genius menus?  Come meet these diverse rising talents, hang out in our open kitchen, and have dinner.  Each night, Great Lakes chefs will be bringing something new to the frame table.  Proceeds will benefit The James Beard Foundation and their National Scholars Program, providing high-impact scholarships to food-focused candidates of exceptional talent.  Grab a seat.
