Meet Emma Janzen, author of James Beard-nominated book Mezcal: The History, Craft & Cocktails of the World’s Ultimate Artisanal Spirit; when she comes into town to curate a present-day Dia de Los Muertos (Day Of The Dead) dinner party with Latido’s Chef Michael Barrera.

Plan on a range of Mezcals, house-made tamales, perfect plates of mole oaxaqueno, flickering prayer candles, a hanging disco ball, and vintage vinyl, bringing good vibes and great music to this night of spirits. No pun intended 

Emma, joining us from Chicago, is the digital content editor of Imbibe Magazine and publishes articles on cocktails for pubs from the likes of Bon Appetit, PUNCH and Food Republic. Chef Michael is the creative-genius behind Hazel Park’s Latido, exploring the boundless flavors of Panama, Peru, and Argentina.

Together this-duo, famed for their innate attention to flavors will be burning down the house with an evening fully ingrained in Mexican culture.
