Pie Bootcamp: Fall Pie-Making by Pastry Chef Monica Lauer of Karl's at The Siren Hotel (Frame Academy)
From old-school pumpkin to apple streusel, we’re pretty huge fans of spherical, classic diner-style pies at Frame.
For us, few other treats satiate our fall cravings, which is why we’ve tapped pastry chef Monica Lauer (formerly Lady of the House and Leila) now of Karl’s at Detroit’s Siren Hotel to teach us how to create classic fall pies like a pro.
Putting everything you’ve learned into practice, you’ll take home one unbaked pie, the tricks, tips, and recipes from the workshop. Enjoy the fruits of your labor by snacking on pie during class.
Anyway you slice it, this workshop will be filled with butter and sugar … and we’re OK with that.
