Learn to Shuck Oysters
the open-air tent @ frame
On their mission to educate, inspire, and throw the best damn oyster party
oops…we mean classroom, this town has ever seen, we could not be more grateful to welcome our new favorite friends from Ann Arbor… Juicy Oistre to the frame family round-up of Summer School teachers.
Best come hungry because these gentlemen mean mother shucking business. This 2-hour oyster Summer School class is the perfect chance for the obsessed to properly learn to shuck and the curious to fall in love with oysters and carry on shucking well past this frame experience.
Practice your ply and slurp…we’re providing protective gloves and knives.
It’s good to be schooled in opening oysters. Think of it this way: we have so much to shucking learn on this earth, we may as well do it in school with a glass of bubbly in hand. Did we mention that our sommelier Sean Crenny serves booze at this school!
Each workstation will be socially distanced and adhere to our response plan that includes every measure of protocol on workplace infection-control practice and health and safety training.

What are people saying?
“Tried out frame as part of the ‘grandma’s basement series’ with Chef James (Mabel Gray) and Chef John (Grey Ghost). Our Italian Family Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed every course (which kept coming). Best meatballs I’ve ever had!! Love the idea of home Cookin with a little flare, shared Family style with strangers. A wonderful evening!”

“The vibe at the Frame dinners also reflected the personalities of the chefs, who were able to interact with guests and offer stories about their food memories while cooking rustic dishes without the same expectations that come with their respective restaurants. The food was predictably great and unpretentious, but the series also highlighted the growing importance of personality and storytelling to the modern dining experience.”
