Afternoon tea started in mid-19th century England for wealthy women to invite their friends for finger sandwiches in the late afternoon to avoid feeling hungry before dinner. While we at frame have huge respect for the traditional craft and love of fine tea, we’ve opted to “push the envelope” thanks to botanist-turned-tea master Elias Majid, and our resident cocktail guru, Tim Avery who are combining their creative talents — for a sensory grown-up (boozy) bespoke tea party for our September calendars. We’re holding onto the quintessential experience — but instead of pots of Early Grey and bite-sized-cucumber filled brioche — be prepared for the most stunning spirit-forward pairing of Eli tea-infused cocktails with a high-tea dinner thoughtfully paired by Chef Rebecca LaMalfa.
