Dim Sum Parlor with Chef Ava Yau of White Wolf Japanese Patisserie
She hails from the countryside of Thailand.
With 7 culinary school degrees under her belt (including Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco) the artsy and vibrant Chef Ava Yau of Clawson’s revered White Wolf Japanese Patisserie is heading to our shared Frame tables, bringing a mid-March playful Dim-Sum doubleheader.
Ava’s approach is influenced in part by her years of working in swanky kitchens from the likes of Michelin starred Chinese hot spot Hakkasan and San Francisco’s 3 Michelin star Saison.
But more than anything ( in case our recommendation isn’t enough) it’s her extensive culinary travels across Asia, Indonesia and Thailand. Apprenticing in kitchens along the way, sharpening her skills to bring this hand-crafted, beautifully-balanced Dim Sum menu, straight to our open kitchen.
Expect a smashing mélange of techniques ~ both traditional and modern refined spins ~ from this hugely talented chef at the very height of her powers.
Add in a cool buzz from behind Frame’s marble bar … and you really don’t want to miss this one.
