Inspired by Italian-American swagger and summers on the East Coast, Nora’s Famous Chef Mark Camaj is bringing all the vintage charm and sun-kissed party vibes of the Jersey Shore right here to Hazel Park.
Grab your GTL crew (that’s Gnocchi, Tuna Crudo, and Limone Drop, to us) and get ready to feast on peak-of-summer salads and seafood pastas while you sip on Long Islands and glass pours of Caymus with zero shame. Yes, we’re all channeling our inner Snookis for this one…
Introducing our next-up August residency: Jersey ShoreBAR at FrameBAR, a coastal Italian-American pop-up by Chef Mark Camaj of Nora’s Famous.
Prepare for “Bobby Bacala” salt cod with charred romano beans, peak summer caprese salad of tomatoes and fresh mozzarella hand-stretched to order. Chef is keeping pastas light and fresh, with a choice of spaghetti al limone with crab and saffron, maccheroni with corn fonduta and basil, and Chef’s famous gnocchi alla Canora, inspired by his time working for Marco Canora at NYC’s Hearth.
Carry out your inner Gabagool with Jimmy Nardello pepper, or prawn scampi with potato salad. Go big with duck sausage-stuffed quail. Or go vegan with breaded tomato Milanese with “bagna cauda.”
Desserts? You bet your cannoli we’ve got ’em. Sweet cream ricotta meets pistachio and Amaretti in Chef’s made-to-order cannolis. Or cruise down the boardwalk with an Eastsider sundae, a.k.a. “The Joe-Lato,” topped with sea salt and fennel pollen. (The people go crazy for this one.)
On the drinks side, we’re leaning into guilty pleasures — without the guilt. Think: frozen Long Island iced teas and frozé sangria to hit the spot like a perfect beach day. Plus, Frame Wine Director Diego Aliste has stocked some fantastic light-bodied summer wines and patio crushers like the Ramona, an organic grapefruit wine spritzer.
This summer fling with the flavors of the shore runs August 2nd through September 3rd.
