Indonesian Vegan Hut with Gina Onyx of Komodo Kitchen
Known for her delicious plant-based prowess, Chef Gina Onyx is the culinary badass responsible for Komodo Kitchen who’s earned undeniable status as one of the hottest tables at Frame.
She loves the Indonesian landscape — and it shows — this time bringing us an immersive experience exploring the rich cultural tapestry of her Indonesian cuisine.
Taking over the Frame space — tweaking the details, menu, music, and decor — Gina is bringing us precisely this: an Indonesian Vegan Hut, transporting the authentic flavors found across Indonesian restaurants, street-side food stalls, traveling carts, and bicycle vendors to our November dinner tables right here in Hazel Park.
Think: green papaya stew with chayote and sambal in spiced lemongrass-coconut broth; rice noodles with freshly ground garlic peanut dressing; hot towels infused with orchid and ylang-ylang; and grilled pineapple with crunchy Balinese peanuts, cayenne, and coconut ice cream.
A dream menu and a dream come true for us to welcome Gina back into the Frame kitchen — and you as our guest.
