Bust out your best party selves and prepare for our summer smackdown of MexiBBQ flavors fused with sultry smoke by Ypsilanti darlings Lucha Puerco ... taking up residence at FRAMEbar for the month of July.

Crafting the ultimate shared plates menu in true Lucha style, meet BARbacoa at FRAMEbar, with a completely new cocktail takeover. We’re talking Lunazul blanco tequila; bacon-washed Elija Craig small batch bourbon; horchata spritzes; and mezcal fused with yellow chartreuse, rosemary tincture, and agave nectar.

We’re ordering one of everything for the table: double-fried, thick-cut pork belly chicharrons crisped to perfection; crab esquites salad with pickled tomato and miso-lime vinaigrette; avocados stuffed with slow-cooked beef barbacoa, salsa verde, and cotija cheese; and freshly fried tortilla chips with all the salsas.

And — oh! — loaded platters of smoked beef barbacoa, pork spare ribs brushed with black mole, and slow-cooked cochinita pibil made from heritage pork shoulder, all served to share for a build-your-own experience overflowing with fresh tortillas, verde rice, miso collard greens, frijoles charros, green-chile kimchi, and pickled vegetables. Plus: vegan platters, and rumors of a whole split lobster brushed with salsa guajillo and garlic butter…
