Vegan Italian Sunday Supper with Grosse Pointe's Sprout House
For many of us, WDET’s Ann Delisi ( “Essential Music” ) and Lisa Brancato need no introduction. Part of the Frame family since the start, this creative duo is back in the house ( yay!) . This time, bringing an outrageously delicious wholly plant-based Vegan Italian Sunday Supper, continually re-“framing” our understanding of what it means to eat without animal products.
Plan on vegan meatballs (green lentils and mushrooms) with rustic red sauce; caserecce pasta with pesto ( tofu, spinach, walnuts); and lemon olive oil cake with blackberry reduction and mint.
Plus: a wholly innovative paired cocktail menu by Adam Accivatti balancing a playful use of botanicals, vegetables and local organic shrubs. A “waste not, want not” ethos is truly at the core of this collaborative dinner between kitchen and bar.
