"The Blind" Viewing Party & Blind Wine Tasting w/ Joseph Allerton

Dec 9th

“The Blind” Viewing Party and Blind Wine Tasting
Joseph Allerton, CMS Certified Sommelier
Michael Symon’s Roast

We’re partnering up with our friend Joseph Allerton, CMS Certified Sommelier of Michael Symon’s Roast for a very special screening of Episode 1 of “The Blind”, the new You-Tube documentary that’s got a lot of people talking about the mystery of blind wine tasting.

We’ll be meeting up at frame on Monday, December 9th for a sneak-peek of this eye-opening film that explores professional sommeliers, including our own Bryan Lamorena, as frame is transformed into a private cinema for the night.

The best part? As we watch the debut of the film, we’ll interactively be blind tasting, making educated guesses about the identity of each pour, alongside the sommeliers on screen.

Following the screening, show producers will reveal the bottles from the film (and the wines just tasted) with a curated time for Q&A, furthering the discussion and delving into the elements of wine appearance, aroma, and structure.

Major Bonus: light bites by Michael Symon’s Roast Chef John Yelinek and time with AHD Vintners.

What are people saying?

“Tried out frame as part of the ‘grandma’s basement series’ with Chef James (Mabel Gray) and Chef John (Grey Ghost). Our Italian Family Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed every course (which kept coming). Best meatballs I’ve ever had!! Love the idea of home Cookin with a little flare, shared Family style with strangers. A wonderful evening!”

“The vibe at the Frame dinners also reflected the personalities of the chefs, who were able to interact with guests and offer stories about their food memories while cooking rustic dishes without the same expectations that come with their respective restaurants. The food was predictably great and unpretentious, but the series also highlighted the growing importance of personality and storytelling to the modern dining experience.”
