You’re going to fall in love with Romanian Summer Culture. Adored Chefs Gabriel and Gabriela are back for another round in the frame kitchen. This time with a summery tasting menu celebrating the historical Romanian region of Muntenia, the southern part of their country, situated between the Danube, the Carpathian Mountains, and Moldavia. Born in Romania and passionate advocates of the region’s dishes, this powerhouse couple is taking inspiration from their childhood summer hometowns, bringing us a July, Petrecere de Vară embedded in culture with tradition rich in history.
A preview of what’s to come to the frame tables: creations like ‘Salata de vara’, whipped feta cheese, tricolor tomatoes, grilled scallion, and Romanian thyme; ‘Macrou’, mackerel with charred eggplant puree, confit fennel, mustard greens, and gremolata; and Prajitura București’, Bucharest pastry with moist chocolate cake, mousse, and pistachio cream each artfully crafted and technically immaculate.
