Summer School…officially in session: frame-style

Meet frame Summer School: held every Wednesday night, June through August, a platform that celebrates the unique, beautiful, and deeply personal path of local chefs, makers, artists, farmers, sommeliers, and mixologists, teaching their craft.
Bringing their expertise, cultivating our creativity one week at a time this summer at frame …
Whether you’re an accomplished home cook or a newbie in the kitchen, this course load has a little something for everyone.

The first day of school is FOODS class: as Chef Doran Brooks of Clawson’s delightful White Wolf Japanese Patisserie, trained by the ambitious Morimoto in New York, has been tapped by frame to share his Japanese secret baking techniques using locally sourced, organic and sustainably grown ingredients.

20 frame summer school students. Newbies and professionals alike: join the class and occupy your brain and hands for an immersive two hours as Doran goes in-depth with a focus on his signature Chiffon Strawberry Shortcake, his Matcha Azuki Swiss Roll Cake, and the not-to-miss, building and decorating of the Pate Choux.

Each workstation will be socially distanced and adhere to our response plan that includes every measure of protocol on workplace infection-control practice and health and safety training.

Each workshop is limited to 20 guests

A 2-hour hands-on Japanese patisserie workshop led by Chef Doran Brooks of White Wolf Japanese Patisserie, focussing on Chef Doran’s signature desserts. Eating, learning, building and taking the fruits of your labor home.

Our unisex (100% cotton (80% upcycled) frame summer-school bib-aprons are eco-frindly, top performing and so stylish you’ll want to wear them all class and at-home perfecting your new found pastry skills !  Cross-back straps distribute weight with eyelets to prevent straps from falling over the shoulders; three large pockets; one small pocket, and a utility loop to hang items. Ideal for makers of all kinds!

Rain Date Options:
In the chance Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate on the evening of your frame workshop, we will have socially distanced indoor frame seating for this workshop.

If you have a frame credit that you would like to use for this experience please email us here and we will happily honor your credit. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we re-schedule with each chef and maker during these tricky times.

Covid Protocols at frame
Please know that our response plan includes every measure of the protocol on workplace infection-control practice and health and safety training for both dine-in and carry out. Masks are required when entering frame and walking around the building but can be taken off once seated for your workshop.

What is Frame?

Seasonal, locally sourced and above all delicious, we’ve built our reputation on the food and drink we serve at frame.

We also partner up with a variety of brands on events of all different shapes and sizes, offering up top-notch food and drink and creative in-house production. frame can seat up to 50 guests dining or 80 guests, theater-style.
