Setting the bar for ultimate rustic-chic boozy farm summer treat… cue FRAMEbar’s next up residency: farmBAR, a month-long shared plates concept solely focusing on Michigan farmers, ranchers, distillers and growers led by Grand Rapids chef Evan Edwards , bringing his second residency to our humble abode following the roaring success of his first pop-up with us late last year. And we’re so glad he’s here.  

Opening our breezy al-fresco patio for the summer, expect your farmhouse experience to start the moment you are seated. Think Tatsoi & Tofu ( house-made udon with sesame ) and fried farm asparagus with a frozen Weiss Distilling “straight jacket” gin cocktail …or plan a convivial dinner with friends ( think handmade pasta and lamb shoulder with chimichurri and dukkah) inside our modern lush farmBAR with ethically raised local meats from Frame’s favorite butcher, Marrow Detroit.

Creating an immersive experience to nourish your senses with vintage woods and minimalistic bleached natural textures, this residency fully centers around the central hub of the farm; right down to this not-to-miss local-meets-wild cocktail takeover (Weiss Distilling,Valentine Distilling,New Holland Brewing,Detroit City Distillery) by the FRAMEbar team of alchemists with a lively selection of Northern Michigan hard ciders, cold Cheboygan brew on tap and a deep wine list all sourced from ethically-minded producers who share our values from Old Mission, Leelanau, Fennville, and the Lake Michigan Shore.
Come thirsty is all we are saying here.

We think of these residencies as month-long parties .. or as we see them, launch pads for new concepts, hand selected by us, for you. And farmBAR has a distinct personality and vibe all its own, with a menu for omnivores, vegans, vegetarians, and everyone in between. Smoked carrots on their greens with yogurt sauce and pickled hot peppers; carrot cavatelli with hand made pasta; barbecue vegetable sambousek with sorghum chili sauce; beet panisse with dukkah; and chicken wings with charred garlic scapes, spicy ras el hanout, and cool mint aioli. Yes Please.
