Cooking with Scraps with Cookbook Author Lindsay-Jean Hard & Make Food Not Waste (Frame Academy)
Come October, we’re getting scrappy as Ann Arbor’s Lindsay-Jean Hard, author of Cooking with Scraps, joins us to teach us how to stop wasting food by turning so-called food scraps into delicious dishes.
In our two hours together, master of efficiency Lindsay-Jean will test our food-scrap knowledge, share smart uses for commonly discarded scraps, and teach us why it’s important to think about reducing food waste in the first place.
See for yourself how scrumptious zero-waste cooking can be as we taste-test foods made with ingredients that are all too often relegated to the compost bin.
And: get into the spirit of the season as she leads us through making Pumpkin Gut Scones to take home and bake.
Workshops run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
So if you’re looking for dinner before or after, FRAMEbar, our sister spot, brings fine-fast drinking + eating front and center. Same editorially-curated Frame experiences…this time around, chefs collaborating to take over a rotating shared small plates bar menus, showcase their cuisines, through what we call FRAMEbar residencies, one month at a time.
We’ll be in touch as soon as we announce our October chef in residence so our team can have a tasty night planned just for you.
