frame presents An Early Summer Traverse City Dinner by Conifer Chefs Patrick and Michael Evans with Michigan wines by Sommelier Sean Crenny and Cocktails by frame’s Mixtress Jaz’min Weaver on the patio @ frame and inside @ frame
It’s official : June is upon us and we’re taking things outside… transforming our outdoor space into our 24 person supper club, with a summer series of chef experiences hand-picked by us, for you. Extensive summer wines chosen by frame’s Sommelier Sean Crenny and bespoke cocktails paired specifically for each chef menu by frame’s mixtress Jaz’min Weaver. Expansive cafe umbrellas, green lushy trees, a ready supply of heaters for alfresco summer vibes. So with all of this….first up? Just in time for the hotly anticipated outdoors: Join us as we bring a little bit of the Northern Michigan food scene to frame, with Conifer Chefs (and brothers) Patrick and Michael Evans, specializing in regional Northwestern Michigan food. Patrick and Michael’s commitment to “seeking out the magic” is no surprise given their years in  San Francisco Michelin Star restaurants from the likes of Lord Stanley and Atelier Crenn and Traverse City darling, The Cook’s House. But when you know, you know, and the Evans brothers decided that it time to say goodbye to the Golden Gate and focus on getting their own thing off the ground. And boy are we pleased they did. Bringing it back to their roots, prepare to meet their wildly popular Northern Michigan pop-up concept ‘ Conifer’ based on Michigan produce and foraged foods. Think cured and smoked salmon with potato, horseradish pudding and sorrels. Lamb saddle with peas, fava and ramps. And Farmer’s cheese dumplings with wild mushrooms, hazelnut, nettles and praline oil. Paired with Michigan wines by our sommelier, Sean Crenny. Mari Vineyards, “Bestiary Ramato,” Bella Vista Vineyard, Old Mission Peninsula bigLITTLE, “C-3 Pinot,” Brut, Leelanau Peninsula Black Star Farms, “Arcturos,” Sur-Lie Chardonnay, Old Mission Peninsula Shady Lane, “Franc n’ Franc,” Leelanau Peninsula St. Ambrose Meadery, “Royal Reserve” Mead This menu is composed of the best of the best seasonal ingredients…keeping simplicity in mind… letting Mother Nature do her work, so the chefs can do theirs. Grab your pashmina and let’s gather under the June stars as we welcome a slice of that unmistakable Northern Michigan optimism.
