Summer breezes may be fading away come late August, but we’re not ready to accept the seasons are changing. We might have put our white pants away for the year but our warm-weather cocktail gear isn’t going anywhere.
In the wake of our denial, we’re turning up the heat, cranking up some tunes, and inviting The Oakland’s head bartender and Hawaiian native Kamalani Ingersoll to show us the ways of over-the-top tropical cocktails while respecting the diverse cultures of the Pacific.
In our two hours together, Kamalani will get us up to speed on tropical libation basics before moving into the truly over-the-top “360-degree garnish,” transforming each cocktail into a stunning visual masterpiece. Dive into the history of tiki culture and learn to build a few of the classics.
