Prepare to spend an evening with James Beard Award-winning food writer Michael Ruhlman: he’s written and co-authored more than two dozen books about food, chefs, and the world of professional cooking. He’s penned for The New York Times, Gourmet Magazine and even enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America completing the course to produce a first-person account of procedure, personalities, and mindsets coming from the prestigious chef’s school. The result, frame favorite beach read: The Making of a Chef. 

Committed to the home cook’s experience and education, we’ve curated an evening with Michael tapping his latest book From Scratch… which focuses on good cooking and eating of course. But also what happens in the spaces between recipes. Think ingredient substitutions and culinary improvisations in a gorgeous book covering 10 Meals, 175 Recipes, and Dozens of Techniques You Will Use Over and Over.
