A Japanese Patisserie Workshop
Clawson’s White Wolf Bakery
Chef Doran Brooks
Our next frame baking workshop comes from Chef Doran Brooks of Clawson’s beyond cool White Wolf Japanese Patisserie. His mastery of Japanese baking comes from the ambitious Morimoto in New York City and luckily for us: Doran is taking over the frame kitchen this season (twice!) to share his Japanese secret baking techniques using locally sourced, organic and sustainably grown ingredients.
Sip on cocktails from the frame bar, enjoy White Wolf desserts and occupy your brain and hands for these immersive two-hour workshops.
April 8th’s workshop is going in depth with a focus on Chef Doran’s signature Chiffon Strawberry Shortcake, building a 6″ inch cake to take home.
June 17th’s workshop focuses on the Matcha Azuki Swiss Roll Cake and the Pate Choux. Learning chiffon and building the Pate Choux, filling and decorating to take home.
Any way you slice it, these recipes are sure to change the vibe of your spring and summer sweet tables, spoiling your guests from this point forward.

“Tried out frame as part of the ‘grandma’s basement series’ with Chef James (Mabel Gray) and Chef John (Grey Ghost). Our Italian Family Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed every course (which kept coming). Best meatballs I’ve ever had!! Love the idea of home Cookin with a little flare, shared Family style with strangers. A wonderful evening!”

“The vibe at the Frame dinners also reflected the personalities of the chefs, who were able to interact with guests and offer stories about their food memories while cooking rustic dishes without the same expectations that come with their respective restaurants. The food was predictably great and unpretentious, but the series also highlighted the growing importance of personality and storytelling to the modern dining experience.”
