Chef Alex Young has always had a thing for Julia Child. "I considered her to be my first mentor," he says. The James Beard Foundation award winner in the Best Chefs in America category, has been around the culinary world a time or two, including founding his most recent smash hit; Zingerman’s Roadhouse. 

After 30 years of studying of dreaming French cuisine, Alex is heading home to where his heart is.  And lucky for us, he’s transforming frame into a Parisian Bistro as a preview to his new restaurant, The Standard Bistro & Larder.
